Industry experts were really excited about our use case of rebuilding Altadena! I found a lot of help and they all agree we can scale up to serve more people while improving the customer experience, home quality and subcontractor’s enthusiasm, using the industry best practices preached at the show and the abundance of new software

Partnered with Melissa Leediker, a homebuilder-specific accounting consultant from Fort Worth. She is familiar with all the new accounting and enterprise (ERP) platforms on the market and is helpingus identify and incorporate software. Melissa has clients in ten states, but Heyday Build is the first in California.

Partnered with Bob Whitten of SMA Consulting – he’s really excited for our specific use case and loves taking experienced homebuilders to the next level with his best practices consulting.

Partnered with Ressio software (ERP, enterprise resource planning) and Adaptive.build (accounting SaaS) to excel at customer and subcontractor experience. They are both newer businesses on Series B and have incorporated AI to provide some amazing benefits to the process and customer experience.

Had a great conversation with Brad Simons (a 40 year industry vet) of Magelby Custom Homes on the use of pre-construction in custom builds. I am new to custom building and his mentorship is very helpful to ensure we deliver not only the quality, on-budget home we are used to building, but also a great customer experience. I feel like we have a plan! Two days in Vegas at the International Builder Show was more exciting than any party trip I’ve had there. I wore an Altadena hat to try to connect with anyone else there working on the effort and of 140,000 attendees, nobody introduced themselves.
