Insurance Estimating for a Historic Jane’s Cottage

In the case I worked on today, a very special Jane’s Cottage was lost and is not being replaced. To capture the large insurance values in the many Jane’s Cottage details, we offered to provide custom estimates from experts for all the non-standard details in addition to our standard, detailed, one-hundred-page+ estimate in the insurance industry standard. Insurance is responsible for and needs to be convinced of the high cost of that tile and oak fireplace, the framing in the 12′ tall attic, barrel-roll ceilings, hardwood floors, front door millwork details & stained glass inserts.

The more thoroughly this is done, the higher we can help the homeowner get their insurance claim. I designed this business to convert insurance claims into a replacement of the lost house; that is the fastest and most secure vector to getting home. But some homeowners really want to build a new, completely different house. That’s fine, we are set up for create insurance estimates for historic buildings.
